Topol pri Medvodah is a small settlement in the Medvode Municipality in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.[2] It lies in the hills northwest of the Slovene capital Ljubljana and is a popular destination for short trips with locals. Its name was officially changed to Topol pri Medvodah from Katarina nad Ljubljano in 1955, but its old name, referring to the local church dedicated to Saint Catherine, is still often used.[3]
